Delights and Dangers of Christian Parenting
Grace from God and Grace to others
One of the great blessings for us as Christians is that we have understood and accepted God’s grace. Everyday we celebrate God’s grace in our life, our breath, our energy, our resources but most of all we have accepted God’s grace by accepting Christ as our Saviour. In Titus 2:11 we read “For the grace of God which brings salvation has appeared to all people”. That teaches us that Jesus came so we can celebrate the grace of God in His kindness, compassion and forgiveness.

Having received God’s Grace by faith we are commanded to show God’s Grace to others. Therefore we give to people generously and sacrificially what they have not earned and which is ours to give. That is we show kindness, compassion and forgiveness.

In our daily relationships therefore, there is always an opportunity for us to show God’s grace to others. In our families, in our neighbourhoods and in our School communities. I encourage you to support your children in learning to be gracious and for you to help them understand that in doing so that they are displaying God’s grace to others.

New Enrolments
Please continue to pray for new enrolments as they are happening almost every week. Please remember when you were first a part of our School community that you were blessed by encouragement of others and so that memory helps us to understand and display God’s grace to others.

Prayer Groups
Please continue to pray for one another and for people within our community who have special needs. We are thankful for the prayer groups that are operating within the School. Please pray for Rev Bob Frisken, former Board Member, as he continues to recover in hospital from extensive surgery.

Year 9 Parent Dinner
We are thankful for the Year 9 parents and staff who shared a meal together on Monday 11 March. Mrs Collette Smart our Consultant in Wellbeing and Mrs Lauren Graham our Director of Wellbeing shared with the parents. The parents had great fellowship with each other as well as the staff. I am always thankful for the extra time and effort that our staff put into reinforcing our partnership with parents. We continue to acknowledge that God gives children to parents and not to schools and therefore, we are so blessed to be able to share with parents in the education of their children.

New Hope School
Please continue to pray for this delightful School for children with special needs and for the families of those children as they work so well together with the staff of New Hope School.

Staff Devotions
This week we have been blessed and thankful for Devotions given by staff through Worship in songs and for Miss Lisa Rezk sharing with us. We have also been thankful for Pastor Keith Baker from St Paul’s Anglican Church and a parent of the School, who blessed us over three days. We thank him for his continued ministry and support of our School.

This week I had the privilege of meeting and sharing with Year 6 and Year 7.

Musical Rehearsals
Last Saturday 9 March was the start of a series of full School Musical rehearsals. There was much excitement amongst the students and their families as well as the staff and again I am reminded of the extra work put in by the staff and other volunteers.
