Junior School - Term 2, Week 7, 2019

This week, I returned from a seven week holiday travelling through parts of Japan, Canada and a few states in the USA, including Alaska. It was an amazing time of refreshment and thorough enjoyment, experiencing some amazing parts of the world and enjoying God’s beautiful creation. It was also very special each day this week to be continually welcomed back by students and parents.

Sean W Smith Performance
Today Junior School students very much enjoyed a fantastic performance from Sean W Smith.

Band Camp
Several Junior School Students will be involved in Band Camp next week.

  • JS Choir students only attend during the day on Tuesday.
  • Beginner Band and Beginner Strings students attend on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • JS students in Concert Band 3 attend on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mrs Maude and Miss Campey will also be attending.

Christian Mission International Aid – Moldova
Last week Mrs Cadwallader, Director of Missions, spoke to our students about an opportunity to support this mission in Moldova as they prepare to present God’s Word to up to 11,000 students through their Christmas Pageant. As each child leaves the Pageant, they receive a gift of a book and a bag of goodies. CMIAid would very much appreciate donations to help make this happen.

If your family would like to support in this way, there is a box in the JS Office to place donations in. Items that are needed include:

  • Exercise books in assorted sizes
  • Coloured pencils – 12 Pack (good quality such as BIC)
  • Coloured crayons – 12 or 16 Pack (good quality such as Crayola)
  • Shower Gel – 500ml bottle suitable for boys or girls

Thank you so much for the generous donations that have already come in.

Drama Presentation
This coming Friday, 21 June, the Junior School Drama Group will present at Assembly beginning at 11.45am in the PAC. Parents are very welcome to attend.
