Paying our Respects on ANZAC Day

2020 anzac dayThis year will see an ANZAC Day with a difference, without marches through the city or veterans and their families congregating at their local RSL Club.

Instead, in this season of self-isolation, the RSL is asking that we pay our respects in a different way to those who served in war time, who lost their lives, and to current members of our Defence Force.

They would like us to stand at the end of our driveway at 6.00AM on April 25, and pay tribute with a minute’s silence. Take a candle with you or use the light from your phone.

Jazz musician, James Morrison, has also asked all brass musicians across the nation to play the Last Post on their driveways "in the name of mateship".

We encourage you to join us in this act of remembrance and to invite your family and your neighbours to take part as well.
