Middle School - Term 1, Week 6, 2019

See ya later…
Friday 8 March is my last day after 19 years at Pacific Hills, with 10 of those in the role of Head of Middle School.

Thank you.

Please pray for me as I start at my new school on Monday that I will continue to trust God. Please also pray for my family, particularly my children, as they come to terms with daddy not being at school (they actually like me being with them!).

It has been a privilege to have worked here – working for God, for the students and for the parents – the Middle School team strive to give all that they can for each of you and your children to bring glory to God.

I have learnt a lot about God; His faithfulness and generosity. I’ve also learnt about myself, children, being a parent, being a husband, being a friend, being a Christian, leading, making mistakes, teaching, learning, handball, social media, body odour, emojis, classroom furniture, paint schemes, budgets…so many things.

I will miss the children, parents and staff of Middle School a great deal.

I would like to thank the leadership of the School for their trust in me and investment in me, both personally and professionally.

It is very important to me that I thank my wife and children (who will remain at Pacific Hills) for their generous love of and support for me.

ROCK on!!!

Year 5 Camp
It was pleasing to see the staff and students on Year 5 Camp enjoying themselves so much.
Well done to the students on behaving in a positive and God honouring way. Thank you to the Middle School staff, as well as Mrs Chamberlain, for your commitment in ensuring a fantastic camp experience.

‘Safe Online Practices’ Seminar
The seminar next Wednesday will be very useful for parents and students in developing healthy and safe habits. Year 7 students and a parent/carer are required to attend this event because we are hosting it to bring short-term and long-term benefit and growth for them. All parents (from any grade at Pacific Hills) are welcome to attend, however, younger students should not attend due to the content and discussions.

Service Project
All students are involved in the ‘40th birthday Service Project’ running over the remainder of Term 1. Information has been provided to students and there is also a section in the diary for information and guidance. We trust that this is a positive experience for everyone involved.
