Junior School - Term 2, Week 2, 2019

Mother’s Day
On behalf of the staff in Junior School, I would like to wish all the mums a very happy Mother’s Day. I hope you enjoy the gift that has been so carefully selected for you from our stall this week.

A special thanks to each of the parents who helped run the gift stall this week. It is much appreciated.

Year 4 Camp
Next week our Year 4 students will be travelling to Port Hacking in the Royal National Park for their camp. This is a very exciting week and the children will be doing some bushwalking, indoor climbing, raft building, boating and of course the famous Deer Park water slide.

School 40th Birthday Celebrations
Please see the school website for details of the upcoming events. Parents are welcome to attend any of these special occasions.

Musical
This weekend is a very busy one for many of our Junior School families and teachers. We are so excited about the quality of this production and if you have not purchased a ticket, please try to get some of the few remaining seats.

Staffing
Mrs Catriona Campbell (1CK) will conclude at the end of Week 3, to begin her maternity leave. We look forward to hearing the exciting news of the birth of Mrs Campbell’s second child. Replacing Mrs Campbell is Mrs Marley Conomy. Mrs Conomy is an experienced educator and has been teaching a Year 1 class in her current setting. Mrs Conomy will be engaged in a handover process in the coming weeks and will meet the students before her official first day in Week 4.

Mrs Petschack (4P) will be taking extended carers leave and will have her last day on Friday 24 May. This is one week later than previously advised. A replacement has been made for Mrs Petschack and the details of this will be announced as soon as it is practical to do so.
