Term 1, Week 2, 2019 - Devotion

The heart of a school is its teachers.
Most teachers join the teaching profession, because they want to make a difference in the lives of children. Jesus points out that students when they are fully trained will be like their teachers.

Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully taught will be like his teacher- Luke 6: 39-40

Students often will adopt the priorities of the teacher and the views of the teacher. This has major implications for us as parents. We want our children to become mature in Christ, we want our children to be transformed into the character of Christ, we want our children to understand that they are made in the image of God. Thankfully, we can rest assured that the teachers of Pacific Hills want this too. I encourage all parents to explore more deeply, issues relating to Christian schooling and if you would like more information please contact us and we can give you a copy of the book, Thinking about Schooling: Christians considering schooling options for their children by Richard Edlin.
