Science Week

science week 04National Science Week, held in mid-August each year, is an Australia wide annual celebration of Science and Technology. This year, the Pacific Hills Science Faculty held a week long celebration of all things STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

Each of the Year Groups 7 – 10, were treated to a special Science day throughout the week, where we made engineering projects, watched scientific media releases and Participated in displays of Physics and Chemistry in action. The students showcased their engineering abilities at the end of each day by presenting their creations in grade by grade competitions.

On Friday, Pacific Hills held its inaugural STEM Symposium where students from all of Middle and Senior School were given the opportunity to present various science projects they have been working on throughout the year. There are certainly a plethora of budding scientists and it was great to gather as a scientific community to celebrate the world that God has made and calls for us to enjoy, explore and steward.

A great week for all involved and a special thanks to the Science Faculty for all their tireless efforts, and especially Gloria Quee and David Klish our tireless Lab Technologists.
