CSSA Primary State Netball Gala Day – Junior Girls

cssa state netball junior 03On Thursday 10 August, ten girls from Year Four competed in the CSSA State Netball Gala Day. Pacific Hills was in Pool C up against four other schools. The first game against Penrith Christian School lead to a victory of 9-0. The girls defeated Greenacre Baptist School 6-3. The third pool match was against Rouse Hill and in a tough match Rouse Hill won 3-2. The final pool match was against Cedars Christian School and the girls won 8-0. This put Pacific Hills in second place in pool C. In the quarter finals the girls played against Oxford Falls and displayed great teamwork winning 5-2. In the Semi finals Pacific Hills played against Northern Beaches Christian School. It was a game where strong defence was needed and in a tough match Pacific Hills won 2-1!

Into the finals, the girls came up, once again, against Rouse Hill. The girls played an exceptional first half to lead 3-0. The second half became a game of defence as Rouse Hill were able to score twice. The final score was 3-2 to Pacific Hills.

The girls finished the day as State Champions! It was a great day as the girls learned to work together as a team and most importantly to enjoy each game that they played.
