8Z had the privilege this last week of witnessing the births of 5 Japanese quails who had been incubated in their classroom. The quails were incubated at 37 degrees for 17 days, turned twice a day until last Thursday when the first one started cracking his egg. The newborns head-butted, strained and pushed their way to freedom out of their eggs, and quickly learnt how to feed, walk and chirp incessantly.
8Z enjoyed the magnificent experience and have been eagerly watching the quails grow and develop. One thing is certain, they are really, really good at chirping!
